Super World Tour Event in Istanbul - Swiss success in all categories

The Super World Tour event in Istanbul is one of the most prestigious tournaments on the Racketlon calendar and awards the most world ranking points after the World Championships and the World Tour Finals. From 6 to 8 June 2025, the international elite met there for the SWT Inventist Racketlon Open.

Nicolas Lenggenhager (SUI) produced the best Swiss result in the elite men's field: after a commanding performance, he advanced to the semi-finals, where he lost to the eventual tournament winner Sylvain Ternon (FRA, WR 2). Ternon defeated the world number 1 Leon Griffiths (GBR) in the high-class final with +2 points and was crowned champion. The young Swiss Andreas Kotala failed in the round of 16 and finished the tournament in 10th place.

Adeline Kilchenmann (SUI) put in a strong performance in the women's event and secured the bronze medal in the international top field.

The Swiss colours also shone in the doubles competitions: In the men's doubles, Nicolas Lenggenhager and his Danish partner Malte Thyregod reached the final, where they were only narrowly beaten by the top duo Griffiths/Böhm. In the women's doubles, Adeline Kilchenmann played her way into the final alongside Kirsten Kaptein (NED), but was defeated by Enmer/Lenggenhager.

The mixed doubles final was an all-Swiss affair with both sides involved: Nicolas Lenggenhager won together with Myriam Enmer (FRA) against the duo Adeline Kilchenmann / Bastian Böhm (GER).

There were also strong Swiss results in the age and amateur categories: Graham King took the silver medal in both the men's C category and the senior 45+ category. Marc-André Rauber came third in the Seniors 55+ category.

The complete results for all categories are available online here.

The tournament in Istanbul was therefore not only a top-class sporting event, but also extremely successful from a Swiss perspective.

IWT Berlin Open 2025

After a multi-year break, the Berlin Open made a much-anticipated return to the international Racketlon Tour. Hosted in the vibrant Wittenau Sports Center, the tournament attracted a strong field of players across all categories. Among them was a small but spirited Swiss delegation featuring brothers Léon and Noah Mamié, Graham King and Andreas Stooss.

Men’s A Elite Singles and Doubles

Léon and Noah Mamié, representing Racketlon Zürichsee, got off to a strong start. In the opening round, they overcame a challenging Czech father-son pairing before facing the eventual German champions. Despite a spirited performance, experience ultimately triumphed over youth. The brothers bounced back impressively in the bronze medal match, harmonizing well on court across all four sports to defeat another Czech duo and claim a place on the podium. In the singles category, Léon played an exciting first round match against Horaczek, a well known opponent, as they already crossed rackets in the doubles competition. Just coming out by a narrow margin, he later on had to concede German top player Joerg Kanonenberg, but managed to get another win in the placement matches finishing on the 7th place. His brother Noah was facing a difficult draw with strong opposition from Germany and Hungary, narrowly losing out on his matches. The duel against Molnar Gergely proved to be an especially exciting one, going into tennis with an equal score. Starting tennis at 10pm and after playing an hour long match and saving several match points, with some players surprised that not everyone had ended up at the sports bar yet, the match went to the player from Hungary. The performances in this tournament, however, shine a hopeful light on the future of Swiss Racketlon and excite for the upcoming doubles world championships in Switzerland.

Seniors Doubles

Graham King had the unique experience of sharing the court with squash legend Rav Rykovski in the Seniors Doubles category. In a match full of flair and intensity, Graham narrowly missed scoring in squash by a whisker. Though a podium finish just eluded him, the close margin has only fueled his determination for upcoming events. Can he get yet another medal at the world championships?

Men’s C Singles

Andreas Stooss made a late entry into the Men’s C Singles, and quickly made his presence felt. A confident start in table tennis was followed by a tough first-round match against a strong German opponent. Undeterred, Andreas stormed through the consolidation draw, showcasing his fighting spirit and announcing himself as a contender for future tournaments.

With high-level matches, promising performances, and memorable moments, the Swiss delegation made the most of Berlin’s return to the tour — and are already looking ahead to the next challenges on the Racketlon circuit.

Racketlon week in Langnau am Albis

Racketlon - the four-way competition between table tennis, badminton, squash and tennis - brought together the international elite at the SIHLSPORTS Center Langnau am Albis from 22 to 25 May 2025. With the Doubles World Championships and the 18th Racketlon Swiss Open, two top tournaments were on the programme - with high-class duels, great commitment and numerous Swiss highlights.

Doubles World Championships (22-23 May)

In the men's elite, top seeds Leon Griffiths (GBR) and Koen Hageraats (NED) confidently secured the world title. The duo remained unbeaten throughout the tournament and clearly defeated the Germans Böhm/Radermacher in the final. Nicolas Champod (Geneva) and Frenchman Sylvain Ternon put in a strong performance for Switzerland, reaching the semi-finals and finishing in fourth place. Brothers Léon and Noah Mamié, who play for Racketlon Zürichsee, delivered a thrilling first-round match, but were beaten by just two points.

Anna-Klara Ahlmer (SWE) and Stine Jacobsen (DEN) won the women's World Championship title. Adeline Kilchenmann from Switzerland and her Dutch partner Kirsten Kaptein narrowly missed out on the podium, finishing fourth.

Racketlon Swiss Open (24-25 May)

Koen Hageraats (NED) once again came out on top in the singles highlight, defeating Kresten Hougaard from Denmark in the final. Noah Mamié shone for Switzerland, surprisingly beating his brother Léon Mamié in the quarter-finals to secure third place in the end.

The Swiss team was particularly successful in the junior and B categories:
Victoria Dübendorfer won gold in the mixed U18 and silver in the girls' U18 doubles together with her sister Julietta Dübendorfer. Both are members of the Swiss national badminton squad. Her mother Esther Dübendorfer also won gold in the mixed +45 with Denmark's Anders Lytoft Fyrst.

Esther Dübendorfer was not only successful in sporting terms: together with her two daughters, her husband and a dedicated team of helpers, she once again put her heart and soul into organising this fantastic event.

After four days of world-class sport with over 150 players from around 20 nations, Swiss Racketlon can look back with pride on a successful event - and is already looking forward to the next edition.
